Through a slow, meditative, and observant approach, the project explored the Madonie territory of Isnello, weaving together natural, cultural, and social elements to create a personal and “indiscreet” mapping of the place. The work is grounded in listening to the “background noise” of the landscape — those subtle yet meaningful signals that emerge from the layering of stories, memories, sounds, and images. The resulting works, ranging from digital photography to manipulated cyanotypes and video, bring visibility to what is usually hidden: details of churches, traces in the woods, fragments of everyday life. These are reinterpreted, analyzed, and in some cases scientifically examined using eye-tracking tools. In this way, the artist constructs a new poetic and conceptual geography of Isnello, where religion, science, anthropology, and visual perception intertwine, transforming the place into a constellation of connections and meanings.
